The 29-year-old football star Josh Allen has been on a hot streak for over six years, and showing no signs of slowing down. Signing a six year contract with the Buffalo Bills in 2018 for $21 million, he then received an extension through 2028. Within his career with the team he graduated from backup to starting quarterback, earning 25 touchdown passes in the 2025 season alone…and hoping for many more.
His life off the field is proving to be even more exciting, as his recent marriage to actress Hailee Steinfeld, and their announcement of a child on the way, has excited his real estate portfolio. While Allen has a real estate portfolio totaling over $12 million, he frequents two main residences though: one in Orchard Park, only eight minutes from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park; another in Dana Point, California, that was recently listed and then taken down again, inciting speculation about the off-season life of Buffalo’s star quarterback.
Two homes: work and pleasure
His main residence, close enough to the Bill’s stadium to get there in a pinch, was purchased for only $659,000, after he signed with the New York’s NFL team. It features four bedrooms and five bathrooms across its two stories. It sits on a generous plot of land, with a pool and a two car garage, but don’t let the humility of Allen’s on-season property fool you, it’s just the beginning.
His secondary residence in California, seems much more within the boundaries of luxury that a professional athlete can afford to enjoy. Within reach of Monarch Beach, in Orange County, Allen put down $7.2 million on a home that’s full of luxury amenities.
The property is situated across one story, with floor to ceiling windows across its four bedrooms, office nook, stainless steel-outfitted kitchen, and a pool. Its mid-century modern architecture is immediately inviting, and with the custom outfitting Allen put into the residence during his ownership, it’s surprising that he listed it for sale in July of 2025.
To sell or not to sell
Allen’s California residence was put up for sale for $8.5 million in July, encouraging a $1.3 return on investment for the football star, though it failed to gain any real attention. Of course, this listing came after his marriage to Steinfeld, who herself holds a real estate portfolio of note, most importantly owning her own home in California that was purchased in 2021 for $8 million. It seemed that the couple were looking to do away with Allen’s bachelor pad near the coast, though the listing was removed just days ago, following the announcement of Steinfeld’s pregnancy, two golden globe wins for the film she most recently starred in, Sinners, and Allen’s stellar performance in the first round of NFL playoff games.
It’s unclear why Allen’s removed the listing for his California home, though perhaps it has to do with the recent success of both himself and his newly wed. As they enter the new year, the Bills seem on track to make it to the Super Bowl, especially after their recent win against the Jaguars. Similarly, Steinfeld is releasing several new projects this year with more in the works. Both members of the couple seem to be intensely entrenched in projects that seek to promote them to even higher levels, not to mention the baby on the way.
Perhaps their overwhelming success has inspired the couple to maintain their real estate portfolio, for the moment, and focus instead on the soon-to-be newest member of the household. Allen’s residence comes complete with a membership to a highly-coveted beach club, complete with service managed by the Waldorf Astoria, in addition to access to luxury golf-courses, restaurants, and proximity to other major athletes who’ve also elected to make a home in the gated community. It’s not a bad place for an athlete to decompress after a stressful, successful season, or an actress to relax between multiple A-list projects, or a child to grow up. At least that seems to be the Allen’s mindset.
