Why Monogram New York Redefines Midtown Luxury
Email this ArticleSend via WhatsApp

Monogram New York, a luxuriously designed condo building at 137 East 47th Street presents the opportunity to live in one of Manhattan’s most vibrant neighborhoods while being treated as if you were on a perpetual vacation. The Shanghai-based development firm Neri&Hu’s meticulous design creates jaw-dropping interiors supplemented by Anthology Group’s ever-superior service — sure to make any resident find their forever home on the property.

Midtown hearth and home

Each unit was designed with Neri&Hu’s signature clean, vertical lines and natural materials to inspire a tranquil, meditative atmosphere. The development firm emphasized both form and function, where beautiful layouts meet proportionate, intuitive layouts, bathed in sunlight from the oversized windows in each unit.

The Monogram team ensured they weren’t just about clean, productive living, though, the building comes complete with amenities to create a hub of community, within your residence. The lobby itself contains a library seating area and several sitting rooms, as well as a grab-and-go space for residents that are always on the move.

Want something more elevated? Head to the rooftop enclave to encounter the Sphere Club — a wealth of terraces, a cozy bar, fireplace-lit reading room, and a private dining room with a catering kitchen to help host any number of guests, while taking in the unmistakable New York City skyline.

The midtown building, encircled by MetLife, the Chrysler building, and Radio City Music Hall, offers a range of availability, perfect for any prospective buyer. There are studios that begin at $900,000, 1 and 2 bedroom offerings between $1.2 – $2.8 million, and awe-inspiring penthouse units at $4.5 million. Sales are led by Douglas Elliman Inc.

The surrounding neighborhood is home to some of New York’s most iconic landmarks, such as Grand Central Station, and Rockefeller Center. Commuting has never been easier either, with almost every subway line within a 15-minute walk of the building. Luxury restaurants like Aretsky’s Patroon and Smith & Wollensky can be found on almost every corner of the block, and 5th Avenue’s close proximity means there’s never a reason to stop shopping.

A building worth waiting for

Plans for the construction of the Monogram New York began in 2015, and building took off in 2019, when the Hong-Kong based firm Hopson Development acquired the contract. Silverback Development then partnered on the build in March of 2020, but pulled out as construction halted due to the breakout of COVID-19. Despite the complications and global pandemic, however, Monogram New York was officially opened for purchase in August of 2024.

The residence has since partnered with Anthology Group to align their design functions with advanced service worthy of the luxury space. Anthology has since expanded their residences to another Monogram property, in Shanghai. The service company leads with the idea of creating sanctuaries from the frenzy of city life.

The modernist designs, matched with local inclusions make each apartment feel like home, while helping to create a space where the reality of the city-streets below can be suspended. Whether it’s entertaining on the rooftop, relaxing at the meditative spa, or simply spending time in an architectural masterpiece, every day becomes a valuable, exciting adventure at Monogram New York — a building that’s single-handedly putting Midtown back on the housing map.
