The Bachelorette season 15 runner-up Tyler Cameron, is ditching roses for real estate, teaming up with Owning Manhattan star Ryan Serhant in his latest career move. Known for his ongoing reality TV and social media presence, Cameron may be right at home in Serhant’s media-savvy brokerage.
“I just think there’s no better leader,” Cameron said of working with Serhant in a July 21 exclusive with PEOPLE Magazine.
He’ll be based out of his hometown at SERHANT.’s newly opened office in Jupiter, Florida – far from The Bachelorette mansion, but not too far from the spotlight.
Serhant backs his newest agent
Serhant, who similarly rose to fame as a TV personality, told PEOPLE how confident he is in Cameron’s success in his transition to real estate sales.
“I’ve known Tyler for a long time. Deep down, he’s a great guy. He is a good person, he’s an incredibly hard worker, and he understands our business” said Serhant. “He’s been doing flips, he’s been doing investments, he’s got a great reputation. And he’s in a market that we are very, very active in. And I think he’ll be a great addition to our army.”
As for how he decided to become an agent, Cameron had his friends – including Serhant – to thank.
“I’m always looking up properties, trying to find the next property for myself,” he told PEOPLE. “And then my friends started hitting me up like, ‘Hey Tyler, can you help me find a property?’
“It just hit me one day,” he added. “I was like, ‘Why don’t I just do this? So I was like, ‘I’m going to get my license.’ I had a conversation with Ryan. We had breakfast one day, and Ryan was like, ‘You would crush it in this industry. You need to get your license, and we need to get to this.’’’
From fan-favorite to Florida flipper
Before officially earning his real estate license in 2025, Cameron had already made his way into the real estate world with a reported $3 million investment portfolio. He built much of it around Jupiter, where he began buying and flipping properties.
He also starred in Going Home with Tyler Cameron, a docuseries on Prime Video that followed his work flipping houses through his construction company, Image One. The show offered a behind-the-scenes look at both business ventures and personal ties to Jupiter – a hint at his long-term interest in local real estate development.
Serhant and Cameron immediately bonded over their shared experience on television.
“He came out and supported me on my Going Home with Tyler Cameron show release party, and I’m forever grateful to him for doing that. I don’t know how he fits that in his schedule, but he just finds a way to be everywhere and do good for everybody,” Cameron said to PEOPLE.
Life before the limelight
Before embarking on his journey into real estate, Cameron attended Wake Forest University, where he was the backup quarterback for the Wake Forest football team. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree, Cameron enrolled in the Florida Atlantic University College of Business and received a Master of Business Administration degree in 2018. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2017, was later released due to a shoulder injury.
After some modeling and his stint on The Bachelorette, Cameron moved back to Jupiter and followed in the footsteps of both his parents – his late mother a real estate agent and father a general contractor.
“She was an incredible agent down here, and it’s a cool way to honor her,” he told PEOPLE in reference to his mother.
What’s next? Business, TV or both?
The future of both Cameron’s reality television and real estate career remains open for a potential crossover. While there are no plans for a second season of Going Home with Tyler Cameron, Serhant teased Cameron’s presence on Owning Manhattan‘s third season. For now, though, he’s scored both a listing and a love interest — teaming up with his partner Tate Madden on Sabal Living, their weekly home and lifestyle newsletter.
