Joe Jonas, the former Disney star, who’s made a lasting generational impact and continues to fill concert venues today, has also quietly built a real estate portfolio that reflects every chapter of his life.
First cowboy-style property in Texas
According to a recent Architectural Digest (AD) feature, at just 18 years old, and having recently finished filming the hit movie Camp Rock, Jonas, along with his brothers, purchased a $2.9M ranch in Westlake, Texas, — their first property.
Inside, the ranch offered far more than a typical starter home. It featured six spacious bedrooms and six full bathrooms with one half-bath. The kitchen stands out with a steam oven and an integrated coffee station, along with multiple living spaces and dining areas.
AD noted that the interior design can be defined as rustic.
The exterior is equally impressive: a private oasis with a saltwater pool and views of the exclusive Tom Fazio golf course.
The brothers sold the property in 2015 for an undisclosed sum, although the initial asking price was $2.75 million.
First solo move: Jonas’ West Hollywood starter home
In May 2014, the hitmaker purchased his first home for $2.6M. Located in Sunset Square, the home — previously owned by interior designer Erin Fetherston — is draped in lush ivy.
As reported by AD, the home features a light-filled living room with a traditional fireplace at its center, and several points of entry. The main floor includes an eat-in chef’s kitchen, a formal dining room and a den. The exterior of the property also includes a pool, a built-in barbecue, and a semi-covered terrace.
At approximately 3,733 square feet, the residence features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms.
This home served as the place where Jonas lived alone, and it represented an important step towards his personal and professional independence.
The house was sold for $4 million in 2022.
A short Hollywood Hills rental
After selling his West Hollywood home, Jonas rented a house in Hollywood Hills West for $40,000 a month. Although he only never purchased the home, the mid-century modern style property boasted incredible views of downtown Los Angeles and featured a total of three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
The rental gave him room to experiment with a minimal lifestyle before settling into a more grounded property.
Finding stability in Sherman Oaks
The singer purchased a then-new 5,600 square foot home in Sherman Oaks, California for $3.7 million in 2016.
The four-bedroom, six-bathroom home—known as The Sutton House per AD—features a spacious entrance hall leading to bright living and dining areas, while the kitchen contrasts clean-lined white countertops with dark cabinets.
The exterior is designed for entertaining, with a garden that features a swimming pool surrounded by lawn and a picturesque, barn-style pool house that completes the aesthetic of this exclusive property.
In just two years, Jonas decided to put this luxurious house on the market, and it was sold for $3.7 million.
Life in NYC: the new chapter with Sophie Turner
In 2018, Joe Jonas and then-fiancé Sophie Turner purchased a $5.6 million condo in Nolita, Manhattan.
The 2,907-square-foot unit offered three bedrooms — including a primary suite with a walk-in closet and en-suite bath — and was part of a boutique building. AD described the interior features, which include a high-end kitchen that combines the elegance of SieMatic cabinets with Imperial Danby marble countertops.
After several price reductions on the market, the residence was sold in 2024 for a total of $5.36M.
A massive upgrade: Encino
After the couple married in 2019, Jonas and Turner took one of their most ambitious steps, purchasing a $14.1million mansion in Encino. According to AD, it was designed by Jae Omar. The estate stands out for its balance of modernity and warmth, thanks to the use of stone and wood throughout its 10 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms.
The Encino chapter was brief. The 15,000-square-foot mansion sold for $15.2 million.
A Miami escape
The couple’s next acquisition was a mansion in Miami for $11 million, with an aesthetic that AD notes paid homage to legendary architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.
The mansion, with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, stands out for its open spaces.
However, their time in Florida was also brief: just a year later, the property was put up for sale, with the deal finally closing for $15M.
New beginnings in Brooklyn
After his divorce from Sophie Turner in 2023, Jonas bought a three-bedroom apartment with skyline views in Dumbo for $6.7M.
Rumors suggest that his next destination is Greenpoint, where he has set his sights on a spacious triplex valued at $5.65M.
Joe Jonas is looking for more stability and a stronger family life for the time he spends with his two daughters, and this property in Greenpoint seems to be the best option for that.
