Esplanade: The Great Integration of Luxury and Wellness in Sarasota County
Email this ArticleSend via WhatsApp

While Florida’s sun and sand have always been a huge part of the state’s forever booming housing market, it’s also quickly becoming a driving force in the wellness industry. Esplanade, a resort style community being constructed in Sarasota County, is offering a mind, body and spirit approach to future residents.

Esplanade, which is set to open in early 2026, aims to ensure that its residents can achieve total relaxation and wellness, with an onsite lifestyle manager. The community is also set to have all inclusive access to fitness centers, sports courts and a luxury spa

“We believe in reinventing. We always look through that lens of how we can find purpose and connect people with the journey they’re on?” said Cammie Longnecker, the president of National Resort Lifestyle and Esplanade Resort Experiences.

Residential Esplanade

Located at 26112 Asparano Avenue, Venice, FL 34223, in Sarasota County at Wellen Park, is a luxury living gated community designed by Taylor Morrison. It broke ground just over two weeks ago on October 10, 2025. Its logo features the mind, body and spirit approach as showcasing the company’s three standing pillars.

It will provide upwards of 877 single family homes, villas, and condos, each ranging 1500 – 3000 square feet. Their amenity center, aptly called “Venue,” will include recreational space and social gatherings, with a bahama bar and grill, sports courts (tennis, pickle ball, and bocce ball), dog park, pool and spa.

The community will include a gym, group fitness center and spa therapy suite, along with concierge services and the aforementioned lifestyle manager, who will organize and manage events. These services alone heighten the resort style feel, the community will also offer dry cleaning, car detailing and exclusive travel opportunities.

Wellness programs take over

According to Global Wellness Institute, by 2029, the global wellness real estate market is expected to reach $1.1 trillion. Florida could be at the center of this shift due to its constant increase in population, high end investments, and already providing a current leading market in wellness real estate.

Florida is leading in the global market of new development of wellness real estate. According to Florida Politics, The Orange State is dominating the international real estate market, as buyers from all around the world are investing in the booming market. They are benefitted by no income tax in state income, and most of them pay the amount in cash.

Investors are also choosing the Florida wellness market for higher premium, fast sales, low tenant turnover rate and long lease terms. Not to mention, the increasing numbers of people are considering health and wellness as one the basic necessities of life rather than just a lifestyle.

After the COVID pandemic, people have sought to invest in communities that support both physical and mental support. In particular they are looking for amenities including trails, play areas for kids, gym, spa, sports courts and fields, with a blend of technology and sustainability.

According to Florida Property Management, renters specifically look for plenty of storage space, outdoor spaces, laundry facilities, energy efficient – stainless steel appliances, central heating and cooling, security features, pool and fitness centers, parking spots and smart features like smart locks, USB charging outlets, internet HVAC system, smart locks, Wi-fi, and smart bulbs.

The future of wellness communities

Nowadays, luxury cannot be shown by precious metal pieces, the term is redefined with something deeper in meaning. The new meaning now focuses on wellness oriented mindset. Investors tend to be deemed by the brightness of services like air and water purification, circadian lighting, biophilic design, and tech driven fitness. So, body, mind, spirit aligning being termed as luxury.

Esplanade is bringing the true luxury to Florida again, contributing to the Sunshine State’s flourishing and expanding wellness real estate market.
