Parks and Recreations Actress, Aubrey Plaza, recently re-listed her Los Felix home for $5.75 million. The home was the site of her late husband, Jeff Baena’s, suicide in January of 2025. The property was originally bought by the couple in October 2022 for $4.7 million and listed for $6.5 million after Baena’s death before being taken off the market.
Inside the Los Feliz property
The Los Feliz Property is a 4,464 square foot retreat built with a Mediterranean flourish. The property is a single-family home including four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a swimming pool, and recent refurbishments like a screening room, wine cellar, and steam room.
The design of the property takes inspiration from Spanish-style retreats utilizing flowing lines, framed arches, spacious living areas and relaxing palettes. The home uses round continuous shapes to guide your eyes along the lines from the pueblo entrance to the many amenities.
In rooms such as the bathrooms and living areas are relaxing pops of pink and green throughout the floors, light fixtures, and walls. In the main kitchen sits a large glass door that opens up to a patio and access to the swimming pool.
Scattered around the property is about a third acre of walled grounds surrounded by matured trees.
Timeline of the property
Originally built in 1928 the home seems to have limited history on its ownership until it was passed to an anonymous owner in 2017.
The property was bought by Plaza for $4.7 million in 2022.
Eight months after Baena took his own life in the property, it was listed in September 2025 for $6.5 million. The house’s listing was quickly removed the following December and then now is up again with the price slashed at $5.75 million.
Jeff Baena’s passing
“At all times, there’s like a giant ocean of awfulness, that’s like right there and I can see it,” she said. “Sometimes I just want to dive into it, and just like be in it. Then sometimes I just look at it, and sometimes I try to get away from it. But it’s always there.”
In her red carpet interviews for her film “Honey, Don’t,” Plaza comes forward about her late husband’s death…
“This is a really dumb analogy, and it was kind of a joke at a certain point, but I actually mean it. Did you see that movie ‘The Gorge’?” Plaza asked. “It’s like [an] alien movie or something with Miles Teller… In the movie, there’s like a cliff on one side and there’s a cliff on the other side. Then there’s a gorge in between and it’s filled with all these, like, monster people that are trying to get them. I swear, when I watched it, I was like ‘That feels like what my grief is like … or what grief could be like.'”
Jeff was found hanging in their home on January 3, 2025, following alleged marital difficulties and concerning remarks that prompted plaza to call a friend to perform a welfare check on Baena.
